Building Hormone Health
Description
Men and women have different health needs. Knowing the basics of human health is essential for the professional health practitioner, however, understanding the specific needs of each gender enables the practitioner to address particular gender related needs.
This seminar discusses many specific health concerns for each gender. A general overview of the endocrine system, diets and their effects on hormones will be discussed including insulin resistance, cholesterol, adrenal fatigue and obesity. With that foundation in place, more specific issues can be approached.
Students will learn detailed information on female conditions such as infertility, hot flashed, menopause and osteoporosis. Strategies and solutions are addressed for male conditions such as low testosterone, fatigue and loss of muscle tone.
